The name's TheOdie and the first time I've ever used RPG Maker was when I was about 10-years old. It was on an engine known as RPG Maker 2003 on my Dad's Dell Tower running Windows XP. I had no idea what I was doing, but I managed to make a map, a ship, and an enemy encounter on an island miles away! After many frustrations of not knowing how to make the enemy encounter end, I gave up. Roughly four years later, and lots of exposure to Kingdom Hearts, I picked up RPG Maker XP to try again.

At this point in time, YouTube was hardly a known thing on the internet so my self-teachings came from -yup- Yahoo Answers, then -better yet- RPG Maker Forums. It was 100% free and I couldn't have been more thankful. Now that I've had over 10+ years of on and off experience with the engine, it was finally my turn to provide back to the community that many has done for me. As for my love for horror, well that's a story for another time.
